Updated 12/28/2020: Murphy Eye Care is open for scheduled appointments only at this time. Please read the following information carefully and call our office if you have any questions or concerns regarding your appointment with us.
1) We are open for all types of appointments at this time. Unfortunately, we will not be accepting new patients for the foreseeable future. If you already have an upcoming scheduled appointment, we will be contacting you to confirm your appointment. It is likely that your appointment time may change, so please look for our call or listen to our voicemail carefully. If you are a current patient and would like to be added to the waiting list, please call the main office number, 717-564-7015.
2) Please do not come into the office for any reason without an appointment. This includes exams, pick-ups, eyeglass repairs, eyeglass adjustments, and any other type of visit.
3) If you have already ordered eyeglasses or contact lenses, you will receive a text, e-mail or call when the order is ready to pick up. You will be able to pick up your items via the following options: make an appointment to pick up your items at the office, have the items sent to your home, or have a member of our staff deliver the items to your car in our parking lot.
4) Please help us practice Social Distancing while here for your appointment. This includes maintaining at least 6-feet of space between staff and other patients whenever possible. We have altered our schedule and reduced the number of appointments to help facilitate this practice. Also, we ask that, if possible, you do not bring anyone with you to your exam.
5) We ask that all patients that have had any symptoms of illness in the last 2 weeks (cough, sneezing, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell) to not come into the office at this time. Patients that are exhibiting any symptoms may be asked to reschedule their appointment. Please do not come in to your appointment if you have a pending COVID-19 test. Also, any person entering the building can expect to have a temperature screening via a non-contact thermometer. Anyone who's temperature exceeds 100 degrees F will be asked to leave and reschedule their appointment for a later date. If you are exhibiting symptoms and have a potentially sight threatening or an otherwise urgent matter, please call our office or send us a message, and we can arrange a time to see you while allowing for proper hygienic precautions.
6) Elderly patients or patients that are at high risk for respiratory illness are welcome to reschedule their appointments for a later date. If you have a potentially sight threatening or otherwise urgent eye need, please call our office or send us a message so that we can arrange a time to see you while allowing for proper hygienic precautions.
7) We have taken additional hygienic precautions including, but not limited to: more frequent cleaning of hands, equipment, and high touch surfaces throughout the office. Please be patient, as these practices do take additional time, and wait times may be greater than usual for some appointments.
